The Law Office of Nathaniel J. Thompson is a law firm that handles work on behalf of folks who live in or near Denver. Nathaniel started working with consumer issues and bankruptcy in 2010 and has since filed hundreds of cases. He understands the frustration of persistent creditors and can help you find a solution for the problem and move on.
Nathaniel worked as an associate attorney for two bankruptcy firms prior to starting his own office in 2014. In his years of learning the ins and outs of bankruptcy Nathaniel has seen a lot of situations and can apply his experience to you.
Nathaniel enjoys assisting his clients and will take time to advise you appropriately. Sometimes, simply being informed will solve much of a problem. After all you always win a fight you avoid.
When finances are tight it can be tempting to try to negotiate a bankruptcy yourself or use a petition preparer (non-attorney drafts and petition and you file it). Nathaniel has witnessed other cases where a person was unrepresented or even worse given poor advice from a petition preparer. It is not fun to see these cases nor is it good to be the person in such a situation. This is a generalization of fees; please refer to fee agreement for your fees.
My billable hour is $275/hr. Copies are $0.20/page.
With some services please ask about a fixed fee.
Bankruptcies are typically done on a fixed fee basis and for chapter 7 will cost $2,000 or higher based upon circumstances of the case; chapter 13 will cost $1,700* or higher based upon circumstances of the case.
*Up front attorney fees, additional fees are paid from the monthly payment plan.
